Abdominal Sonography

Knowledge required and techniques of diagnostic medical sonography used in assessing the abdominal organs and soft tissue structures. Topics include anatomy and physiology and sonographic findings of the abdominal organs and soft tissue structures to include breast, thyroid, and scrotum. A working knowledge of anatomy is assumed. Classroom and laboratory experiences are provided. Course admission is by permission of Director of Radiography. 2.10 Credits (2 Lecture - .30 Lab) Prerequisite(s): SON302.
