Ultrasound Physics
SON302
Fundamental physics related to sound waves in various media required for understanding the behavior of the ultrasound beam. Topics include fundamental physics of sound waves, properties of the ultrasound transducer, beam characteristics and ultrasound range calculations, the Doppler effect to detect motion, and the physical basis of artifacts in imaging. Only registered radiographers, practitioners of sonography and senior radiography students may enroll in this course. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab)
