Polymer Testing
This course provides an overview of the testing and characterization of polymeric materials. Students will learn preparation and conditioning of specimens, sampling theory, and standard methods for a series of property tests used in plastics industry and polymer research. These tests include tensile and flexural stress/strain, thermal analyses, rheometry, and impact toughness. Additionally, characterization of polymers by chemical composition and molecular morphology will be studied. 4 Credits (3 Lecture - 3 Lab)
Prerequisite(s): PPT110 or PPT130. Spring Only.
