Industrial Blow Molding

Detailed study of the plastics blow molding process. Different blow molding methods such as extrusion, stretch blow, injection, and co-extrusion are detailed. Additional hands-on study includes process and parison control, mold design, automation controls, and auxiliary equipment. The majority of laboratory time is used to make quality plastic parts with an extrusion blow molder. 4 Credits (3 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): PPT120 or PPT118. Corequisite(s): PPT248.
