Clinical Procedures I
The focus of this three-part course is on the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that are routinely performed by Physician Assistants in clinical practice. Procedures likely to be performed in both inpatient and outpatient settings will be covered, with emphasis placed on those used in primary care and emergency medicine. Therapeutic procedures used in response to life threatening situations are also addressed. The skills taught in this course are integrated with the material that is concurrently presented in the Clinical Medicine courses and will examine the impact of technological advances on the health of a society's people as well as the influence of society on healthcare practices. 2 Credits (1 Lecture - 3 Lab) Corequisite(s): HTH333 and PHA322 and PHA328 and PHA346.
