Fitness Management: Theory and Application
This class is designed to prepare students assuming management roles in commercial, clinical, corporate, and community settings of the fitness industry. Application of conventional business management principles and operational guidelines are applied directly to health and fitness. Industry data and trends will be addressed. Emphasis on "front of the house" management topics: management theory, marketing and sales, member/employee management, program development, profit centers, and organizational development. "Back of the house" management topics include, health and safety, facility management, legal and insurance considerations, financial processes, and payroll. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab)
Prerequisite(s): PFS220. Spring Only.
