Medical Office Practice

This course provides a foundation in the skills needed to perform adequately in a medical environment. Students will study medical coverage systems and apply acquired skills to medical insurance processing, medical coding, and medical billing. Students will gain practical experience in ordering medical office supplies, completing various medical forms, and completing other skills needed to function effectively and efficiently in a variety of medical support environments. (Formerly OFT 215) 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BIO103 and MTR104 and OIT111 or BIO115 and BIO125 and MTR104 and OIT111. Fall Only.
