Pharmacology in Health Care
This course will provide a major review of all drug classifications as well as an in-depth study of prototypes specific to each drug category. This in-depth study will include discussion of the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, therapeutic effects, untoward reactions, and food/drug interactions of these medications, as well as pertinent legal and ethical aspects of medication administration. Students will be expected to write a pharmacological profile based on a client's medication regime or on a predesignated group of drugs. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab)
