Introduction to the theory and practical applications used to safely setup and operate the metal turning engine lathe. Operations such as turning, facing, boring, grooving, drilling, tapers, threading, and cut-off procedures are implemented. Three and four-jaw chucking techniques and turning between centers are used to complete required projects. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Corequisite(s): MTT117.
