Study of the concepts and techniques used to choose and develop the processes that bring a product from design to production, with a focus on modern production and assembly techniques. Emphasis on organizing the integrating manufacturing technologies such as robotics, CAD/CAM, N/C Tools, Group Technology, Manufacturing Resources Planning (MRP), Quality and other automated methods into a viable manufacturing process. The communication and impact of the new process on other functions in a manufacturing organization is examined. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Fall Only.
