Examination of concepts related to complex data analysis within the health care environment. Principles of data collection, organization and statistical analysis and interpretation are covered. Study includes review of complex applications for data mining and reporting within the health care environment. Additional topics include issues involved in the management of quality and performance improvement in the health care setting as well as the components of quality, performance improvement, and the regulatory requirements for this function. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): MTH160.
