Introduction to the principles of quality assessment and improvement. Study provides a basis for developing skills in collecting and analyzing data. Topics include health care evaluation systems as well as the role of medical record professionals in quality assessment and improvement, clinical critical pathways and case management, utilization management, risk management and infection control, and medical staff credentialing. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): HIT110 and HIT120.
