Introduction to basic surveying instruments, their use and care. General information on differential leveling, percent grade, cuts and fills, grade stakes, and elevations is included. Introduction to the theory of Global Positioning System (GPS) operation in relation to its use with heavy construction equipment, installation of site vision on the machine, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 2 Credits (2 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): DSM120 and DSM121.
