Ford Engine Performance


Ford Service Technician Specialty Training (STST) applied engine performance analysis and basic tune-up procedures.  Operation and troubleshooting of the following systems: traditional and diesel-fueled (high pressure type), emission control, ignition, engine control, and turbochargers.  Topics include the purpose and performance of computerized engine control systems, theory of operation, service, troubleshooting and repair, with emphasis on closed-looped microprocessor systems, as well as Ford Motor Company Hybrid vehicles. 6 Credits (5 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): FMC130. Corequisite(s): FMC163 and FMC210. Fall Only.
