Practical and theoretical approach to the installation, programming, and maintenance of programmable control (P.C.) equipment. The application of P.C. in manufacturing processes. Theory covers the proper installation of P.C. equipment, especially the correct grounding application of processor units and the development of P.C. Ladder diagrams. The practical work includes programming and changing operational programs to prepare the student to work as "line mechanic" on production lines using programmable controls. 4 Credits (3 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): ELT231 and ELT232 or ELT231 and ELT238. Spring Only.
