CAT Vehicle Chassis Electronics and Diagnostic Procedures
Introduction to CAD machine electronics and monitoring systems, including the theoretical and practical operations of each system. Topics such as component and symbols identification, wiring diagrams and schematics, CAT Vital Information Management System (VIMS), and CAT Monitoring System (CMS) along with an overview of the automatic retarder control and electronic traction aids systems. Use of measuring instruments and tolls, both hand and machine are used for diagnostic and troubleshooting procedure. 4 Credits (3 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): DSM120 and DSM149 and DSM241. Spring Only.
