CAT Engine Management Systems
Introduction to the theory and operation of Caterpillar mechanical fuel-injection systems, Caterpillar electronic fuel-injection systems, and Caterpillar HEUI fuel system. The operations and troubleshooting of the various systems including fuel, emission control, engine control, and tune-up are explored with emphasis on diagnostic testing using Caterpillar's Electronic Technician computer-based system. 3 Credits (1 Lecture - 6 Lab) Prerequisite(s): DSM115 and DSM116 and DSM120.
