Study of the design of part geometry and the generation of CNC code. Translation of part geometry to and from CAD/CAM systems. Manufacturing applications using CAM software to generate part programs for manufacturing. Applications include two-, three- and four-axis machining on vertical machining centers. Multi-axis turning, EDM and fabrication machinery are also studied. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CIM101 and CIM123 and CSC110 or CIM101 and CIM123 and CSC124.
