Analysis of particle and rigid body motion in two and three dimensions. Kinematics of translation and rotation, use of force/mass/acceleration and work/energy methods; impulse, momentum, and collision of elastic bodies. Strong emphasis on the engineering significance of these principles, with special emphasis on structures. Computer applications to civil engineering problem solutions. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CET230 and MTH242. Spring Only.
