Boundary Surveying and Legal Descriptions

CET262

Study of surveying evidence and procedures to establish and/or reestablish boundaries. Course work includes writing legal descriptions and studying case law, with attention to rules of evidence relative to land boundaries, boundary control and legal principles, order of importance of conflicting title elements, possession principles, easements and riparian rights, retracement surveys, and current ALTA/ACSM survey requirements. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CET256. Spring Only.
