Horizontal and Vertical Control Surveying


Basic principles of geometric models of the Earth and geodetic datums; computations on the ellipsoidal, State Plane, and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinate systems; calculations to determine latitude/longitude; astronomic computations; and coordinate transformations. Use of modern field equipment is emphasized in labs. 3 Credits (1 Lecture - 6 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CET124 and CET126 or CET124 and CET127. Corequisite(s): CET255. Fall Only.
