Mopar Automotive Engine Performance

CAP220

Theory and application of engine performance analysis and basic tune-up procedures. Operation and troubleshooting of the Chrysler Group LLC gasoline and diesel engine management systems including fuel delivery, fuel control, emission controls, ignition, engine controls, forced induction, and direct injection technology are covered. Additional topics include the purpose and performance of computerized engine control systems; theory of operation, service, troubleshooting, and repair; and the fundamentals of hybrid technologies. Content includes the latest "Chrysler Academy Gasoline Engine Performance." "Chrysler Academy Diesel Engine Performance," and "Chrysler Academy Hybrid Electric Vehicle" instructor-led course(s). 6 Credits (5 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CAP120 and CAP130. Corequisite(s): CAP163 and CAP210. Fall Only.
