Mopar Automotive Chassis Systems

CAP140

Theory, construction, and operation of steering and suspension systems, including component relationships, steering geometry, wheel alignment, rear and front suspension service, system repair, and wheel balancing. Conventional and electronic power steering theory of operation, diagnosis, and testing are included. Additional topics include hydraulic brake systems, including theory and service of braking systems, system components, system operation, troubleshooting, adjustments, and repair. Basics of antilock braking, stability control, and regenerative braking are covered. Content includes the latest "Chrysler Academy Brake System" and "Chrysler Academy Steering and Suspension" ILT instructor-led course(s). 4 Credits (3 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CAP110 and CAP120. Corequisite(s): CAP130 and CAP161. Spring Only.
