Introduction to the theory of heat gain, including the parameters used in determining a cooling load needed to provide total comfort. Topics include environmental conditions, load factors, construction materials, solar effects, and psychrometric characteristics. Skills developed include the ability to produce accurate cooling load calculations and properly size cooling equipment. 2 Credits (1 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): ACR111. Corequisite(s): ACR236.
