Continuation of the hands-on activities introduced in WEL210. Students weld with the flux-cored arc welding process using semi-automatic machines in all positions with a variety of electrode wires, diameters, and gases. Submerged arc welding is performed in the flat and horizontal position with semi-automatic torches using gravity or pressurized systems. Instruction on machine applications is also included.
