Examination of global politics through an analysis of the distinctions among modern nation-states and the influences governing their international relations. Topics include foreign policy, nationalism, ideology, international law, the nature of power, international trade and exchange, and the future world order. Special emphasis is given to changing political alignments and the present economic shift of forces from the industrialized Northern Hemisphere to the resource-rich Southern Hemisphere. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) As needed.
