Pathophysiology and Pharmacology for the EMT-P
Principles of patient assessment related to the pathophysiology of shock and pharmacology as related to the EMT-P. Discussion focuses on shock in terms of the cellular level, blood and components, immune and inflammatory responses, fluids and electrolytes, acid-base balance, and hemorrhage. Applied principles and techniques include vascular access and medication administration. 6 Credits (4.50 Lecture - 4.50 Lab)
Prerequisite(s): PMP134 and PMP135 and PMP139. Corequisite(s): PMP247 and PMP249. Fall Only.
