Exploration of issues that arise when rendering nursing care to elderly clients. Areas of focus include: biological, psychological, social, legal and ethical issues. The health care delivery systems of acute care, long-term care, and home nursing/community care all face many changes which will affect the elderly. Nursing issues for each area are explored. Emphasis on prevention, stabilization and restorative nursing concepts. Nursing management issues are also explored. 1 Credit (1 Lecture - 0 Lab) Scheduled by Special Arrangement.
