Childbearing Nursing

Exploration of nursing care of clients experiencing a normal or at-risk pregnancy. Common obstetrical problems of increasing complexity are studied. Students assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of the childbearing client. Students care for the mother, fetus, and neonate during normal pregnancies. Social and environmental influences are addressed, as well as pharmacological and nutritional factors. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BIO125 and NUR181 and PSY203 or BIO125 and NUR117 and NUR223 and PSY203 or BIO125 and NUR126 and PSY203. Corequisite(s): NUR281 and NUR282 and NUR283.
