Introduction to Music
Develops listening skills that add to the enjoyment of music--particularly the art music of western civilization, often referred to as "classical" music. Questions the myths that have prevented many people from discovering the enjoyment of such music. Explores the basic terms related to describing music and, how to listen to music critically; reviews important trends in the history of music and how to express ideas more clearly when conversing and writing about music. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab)
