Introduction to discrete structures. Topics include logic and proof, sets, combinatorics, graphs, modeling, homomorphisms, Boolean algebra, logic networks, coding theory, finite state machines and computability, formal languages and general algebraic structures emphasizing semigroups, monoids and groups. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): MTH240.
