Topics in Mathematics
General education course for non-mathematics and non-science majors. Topics include geometry (points, lines, polygons, area, volume, and surface area), matrices, probability (sample spaces, counting techniques, conditional probability, odds), and statistics (measures of central tendency and dispersion, normal distribution, scatter plots). Emphasizes the interconnections of mathematical concepts. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): MTH005 or Placement by Examination.
