Structures of Mathematics
General education course for non-mathematics and non-science majors. Topics include set theory, logic, the real number system (whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, decimals and real numbers), elementary algebra (solutions of first and second degree equations, graphs of relations and functions) and problem solving. Emphasizes the interconnections of mathematical concepts. 3 Credits (3 Lecture) Prerequisite(s): MTH005 or Placement by Examination.
