Introduction to the elements of information processing accomplished by businesses in the global business arena. Study includes the foundations for the information age, the role of information technology and management information systems, and the use of technology to gain a strategic and competitive business advantage. Concepts introduced include data versus information, ethical concerns, transaction processing systems, artificial intelligence, interorganizational systems, total quality management, information partnerships, virtual organizations, learning organizations, and business process reengineering. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CSC110 or CSC124.
