American Indian Perspectives
A perspective of Native Americans who draw from their own traditions to reflect upon the institutions and mores of Western Society, Native American contributions to it and conflicts with it. Also examined are elements of Native American cultures that have endured and which may offer guidance on current social issues and problems. Special focus is put on the educational outreach to non-Indians by individuals and groups in the United States and Mexico who respect the guidance of the Circle of Traditional Elders. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab)
