Pharmacology in Health Care

Comprehensive review of all drug classifications as well as an in-depth study of prototypes specific to each drug category. Discussion includes pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, therapeutic effects, untoward reactions, and food/drug interactions of these medications, as well as pertinent legal and ethical aspects of medication administration. Individual course work includes a written pharmacological profile based on a client's medication regime or on a predesignated group of drugs. Restricted to BPA, BAH, BHM, BHP majors. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BIO125. Scheduled by Special Arrangement.
