Examination of the issue of the aging United States population and its impact on the health care delivery system. Included are the impact of culture and ethnicity on perceptions and attitudes toward aging; the normal physiological changes of aging; common diseases of the aged, and the resulting demands for health care; alternative physical, physiological and living accommodations; technology's impact on the provisions of health care; and the health care related financial consequences of aging. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): ENL111.
