Introduction to an array of the most recent counseling strategies and the challenges presented by culturally different, difficult, atypical, or multi-problem clients. Students enhance their skills in analyzing preferred approaches to working with clients (using both recent as well as established theoretical approaches), and strategies for working with the unusual client. The writing proficiency requirement (WRSELC) for the BHS Degree must be fulfilled prior to scheduling this course. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): HSR225 and WRSELC. As needed.
