Study of the growth and development of the Soviet Union beginning with the influences surrounding the founding of the original state of Kiev in the ninth century, through the rise and fall of Tsarism, to the Revolution(s) of 1917, then proceeding from the ordeal of Stalinism through the Cold War to the era of Glasnost and Perestroika and the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) As needed.
