Introduction to basic surveying instruments and techniques. Use and care of level instruments, total station, transit, taping, and GPS (Global Positioning System) Rovers are covered. Techniques include differential leveling, pipeline layout, grade stakes, slope stakes, distance measuring, cuts and fills, angles, topographic maps, field notes, and GPS maps. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): Placement by Examination. Fall Only.
