Choices: Wellness for a Lifetime

Examination of fitness and wellness concepts promotes healthier choices for lifestyle behaviors. Practical application of behavioral change and motivational strategies helps students recognize the need to adopt healthier lifestyles. Workable approaches for being healthy and fit offer a comprehensive look at wellness and encourage students to apply this knowledge to their lives and change poor behaviors. Topics include lifestyle assessments, components of fitness, diet and nutrition, weight control and body image, stress reduction, energy production, environmental health, relationships, disease risk management, and responsible decision making. Course work includes developing programs that address lifestyle behavior changes to meet established fitness goals. 2 Credits (2 Lecture)
