Masters of Horror: Horror in Literature and the Mass Media
Serious treatment of "horror" by authors from the 17th century to modern time, including Shakespeare, Shelley, Poe, Lovecraft, and Bradbury. Also examines the evolution of the pulps, the horror comic, the horror radio series, and the horror film as forces that shape and mirror the mainstream of American social thought. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): ENL111.
