Data Cabling and Network Basics

Principles of cabling related to data, voice, and RF as well as the associated connections and terminations. Study includes the concepts of cabling and its worldwide standards as applied to residential and commercial applications. Practical laboratory work covers structured wiring, including design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of cable and category-rated (e.g., CAT5 and video) devices. 1 Credit ( .50 Lecture - 1.50 Lab) Prerequisite(s): ELT111 and ELT122 or ELT117 and ELT122 or ELT111 and ELT126 or ELT117 and ELT126.
