Introduction to Product and Systems Design

Introduces the theory and application of the design and development of industrial products and systems. Course work develops an awareness of the many cultural, physical, and historically based variables that impact the finished product. Emphasis is placed on the design process and problem solving. Students work in teams to design simple tools and products. Parametric solids modeling software is used to develop basic designs and create production drawings. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CAD237 and CCD243. Fall Only.
