Network Design and Management
CIT476
Introduction to the techniques of network planning, selection and implementation. Focus on such issues as customer and system requirements; the review of current system constraints and performance; the modification and design of new networks; and the planning and implementation of system security requirements. Also covered are the various modeling techniques that can be used in the network system design process. Course work includes the development of a detailed network design and preparation of specific testing, security and management procedures. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CIT271 and CIT346 and CIT370 or CIT246 and CIT271 and CIT370.
