Material Handling/Fluid Power

Theory, demonstration and applications involving fluid power in a manufacturing environment will be presented. Fluid power systems in several types of automation and manufacturing environments are studied. The various equipment and modern methods of material handling are examined. Hydraulic and pneumatic experiments are conducted on industrial trainers. Fluid power principles and applications are studied and applied to machine tool work-holding and robotic end of arm tooling. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): CSC110 and MTH180 or CSC124 and MTH180 or EET124 and MTH180.
