General Biology I
Study of the fundamental processes of life. Emphasis on the behavior and interactions of molecules and cells as the foundation of modern medicine. Topics include the scientific method, cell structure and function, protein synthesis, metabolism, molecular genetics, genetic engineering, evolution, membrane properties, the cell cycle, cell communication, and the development of cellular and molecular laboratory techniques. 4 Credits (3 Lecture - 3 Lab)
Prerequisite(s): BIO115 and CHM111 and ENL111 and MTH160 or BIO115 and CHM111 and ENL111 and MTH180 or BIO115 and CHM111 and ENL111 and MTH190. Corequisite(s): BIO125.
