Mechanical System Design
This course will expand upon mechanical system design methodologies and present commercial software applications related to project management and engineering analysis. Building mechanical systems will be presented as well as varied applications ranging from clean rooms to refrigerated containers. Concepts and practices will be presented related to project management, energy management, indoor air quality control, fire protection systems and large piping systems. Software will include finite element analysis (FEA) and MS Project. Working in small teams, commercial HVAC projects will be investigated, design strategies identified, systems designed and project plans developed. (Formerly BHV 435) 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab)
Prerequisite(s): BHV320 and BHV325.
