Mechanical System Design

BHV432

Expanded study of mechanical system design methodologies and commercial software applications related to project management and engineering analysis. Topics include building mechanical systems and varied applications ranging from clean rooms to refrigerated containers. Concepts and practices include those related to project management, energy management, indoor air quality control, fire protection systems and large piping systems. Software includes finite element analysis (FEA) and MS Project. Course work includes working in small teams, investigating commercial HVAC projects, identifying design strategies, designing systems, and developing project plans. (Formerly BHV 435) 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BHV320 and BHV325.
