Study of various roof types, including parts of a roof system, layout terms, rafter sizing, rafter layout and the use of a framing square. Roof framing principles and application are emphasized, including gable, hip, and intersecting roof designs. Course work includes construction of a roof. Other objectives include advanced framing practices, including cantilevers, patio-decks, and post and beam construction. 5 Credits (2 Lecture - 9 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BCT109. Spring Only.
