Non-Metallic Structures
Study of nonmetallic aircraft structures, including inspection and repair of composite, fiberglass, plastic, honeycomb, and wood materials used in manufacture and repair procedures. Application of industry-accepted standards that ensure the continual airworthiness of the airframe and components as well as the safety and compatibility of nonmetallic structures. Repair, inspection, and testing are used to help students differentiate between the types of material used in the manufacture, inspection, and repair of various structural and nonstructural components. 1.50 Credits (1 Lecture - 1.60 Lab) Prerequisite(s): AVC205 and AVC207. Spring Only.
